Bruneau Sand Dunes

I visited the Bruneau Sand Dunes today with my two kids. None of us had never been to a large sand dune before.

I now know why there are so many images of sand dunes. I think I could spend day after day
photographing sand dunes. If I had a camera, I'm fairly certain I could cross the Sahara Desert without water.

My youngest was on my back in the kid backpack, but my daughter really enjoyed the, "San Dans" as she pronounced them.

I'll go back very soon.

William & Patricia

On January 3rd, 2007, I photographed the marriage of William and Patricia at Sun Valley's Trail Creek cabin. Their officiant, Dr. Alexander, William, Patricia, and I stood on the bridge for their intimate ceremony. For a while, there were just the four of us, the bridge, a snow storm, and the eternal sound of Trail Creek rushing underneath.
Then, a cross country skier walked through excusing himself. Later, other skiers yelled congratulatory regards from the trails in the distance.
With the conclusion of the ceremony, the newlyweds zipped off into town to celebrate.

Baldy View

Just prior to the Christmas holiday I was hired to photograph an amazing home in Ketchum. Architectural photography is the exact opposite of wedding photography--these two genres within the photographic medium are, to me, ying and yang. Walking into a well designed home and having the opportunity to work alone and craft well lit images is a treat, just as is photographing the fast paced, high energy, emotion packed, wedding celebration.

Unfortunately, I was not granted an unlimited amount of time to photograph this residence. Instead, I had about 4 hours. The time restraint proved a nice challenge, however, and I think I came back with some nice images:
