Wedding :: Acee & Mitch :: Silver Creek, Idaho

When portions of beef large enough to identify hit a charcoal grill in front of a covered wagon and a teepee which holds the beer is behind you--you know you are at an Idaho wedding. Acee & Mitch threw a fantastic wedding this past Saturday with all these features and more. Their family prepped and cooked, friends organized, and in the end everyone had a good time. Their wedding was held on Silver Creek--a most famous and beautiful spring creek. Here are some of my picks:

Galena Stop

Sun Valley Guide had me up North to the Galena Stop to get a portrait of Jeff Bitton at his Mystic Saddle Ranch. Jeff is an outfitter who runs horse trips in the Smokey mountains. On the property is one of the earliest historic log cabins built by pioneers who used it as a rest stop before heading over Galena Pass.

Local Evidence

I had my first Global Warming assignment today; a portrait for the upcoming Sun Valley Guide. Tom Peavey visited this lake when he was a kid--and it was full. The lake has a natural damn. Tom has never seen a spring produce enough water for it to spill over the top. Our region has had at least normal precip so far this year. I guess Global Warming is proving to be a form of "trickle down economics!" Pardon the pun. Here is how we found the lake today:
